Hey, it’s Jeffrey Kirk here. And I’ve got an interesting topic… Parasite SEO.

And, before you ask, no, this isn’t biology. We’re not talking about a way to help parasites show up in the search results!

Before I explain, I want to mention the background image. A couple weeks ago someone said my bookcase background was distracting. So, I decided to try something new. For these and some upcoming videos, I’m putting myself in front of photos I have taken. This way, you get to see different backgrounds and you can even try to guess where I took the picture.

So if you think you know where I took this one, go ahead and put your guess in the comments. Then watch my next video to get the answer.

Okay, now on to today’s subject. What on earth is Parasite SEO?

Parasite SEO

Well, in a broad sense, Parasite SEO is a strategy that involves leveraging the authority and traffic of established websites to improve the ranking of your site.

Of course, there are black hat versions and white hat versions of Parasite SEO. I personally don’t like to do work that can be deleted or get a site blacklisted. To me that’s a waste of time, so I’m looking at the legitimate ways of conducting Parasite SEO.

You can think of Parasite SEO as borrowing the authority of someone else. For example, you could publish your content on a website with high authority.

In that case you’re borrowing the good reputation of the other site to make your own content appear more trustworthy and relevant in the search results.

But unlike guest blogging, where you write an article for the benefit of the host and get some generic backlinks for yourself, with Parasite SEO you are targeting specific keywords and leveraging the host platform’s authority for ranking purposes.

With search engine algorithms becoming more sophisticated each year, it’s important to adapt your strategies. Parasite SEO might be a good way to accomplish some of your visibility goals. But there is a catch. You have to be careful that you don’t cross the invisible line.

If you get too aggressive with Parasite SEO, Google might not be happy, and you could end up with your website in the penalty box instead of climbing the search ranks. That’s why I want to stay in the white hat arena.

And I think any established business looking to improve their results using the power of the internet should also use methods that make Google happy.

So, if you’re interested in mastering Parasite SEO, what do you do? There’s no need for complicated tricks, you just need to know a few things. Here are 5 points to help you out…

1. Find Popular Platforms in Your Niche

Look for websites that could potentially showcase your content. The ideal situation is if the sites you find are authorities related to your industry or profession.

You can start with a Google search for your topic and look for the top-ranking sites. Then check to see if they’re open to hosting your content.

Look for platforms that meet the following criteria:

  • They have high Domain Authority
  • They allow user-generated content
  • They are open to sponsored content (if you’re willing to spend a little)
  • They let you include links to your site
  • And they get a lot of traffic from search engines like Google

2. Use the Right Keywords

Attempting Parasite SEO for keywords unrelated to your website’s content is counterproductive. That means you have to start with keyword research to find relevant words and phrases that can drive targeted traffic to your site from search engines.

Here are some quick tips to do this:

  • With links from big sites, your sponsored content will rank, so focus on keyword intent instead of metrics like monthly search volume.
  • Go for long-tail keywords for laser-focused traffic.
  • And if you’re targeting local traffic, be sure to include some local keywords.

3. Create the Content

After completing your keyword research, it’s time to create valuable content.

Don’t hold back on quality even if you’re paying to place sponsored content. You’re trying to boost your website’s authority, and quality is always an important part of that.

Your content should be more than just a promotional pitch; it needs to be informative. Otherwise, you risk having your content rejected, or you might even risk damaging your website or your business’ reputation.

Try to provide in-depth information that is useful for anyone seeking more insight on the topic.

Also remember to keep it simple, making your content accessible even to beginners. And use a conversational tone in the writing. It should be kind of casual, like you’re talking to a friend.

Then, before you publish, make sure it’s accurate, as well as free from typos and grammar mistakes. Your audience deserves content that is not just informative but is also presented very well.

4. Embrace Link Building

Having your content on a high-authority site is powerful, but let’s face it—it’s a competitive world out there.

Even if your stuff gets shared on a big-shot website and that content gets into the search results, you’re still in a tough race with others using popular keywords.

To stay in the game, you need some links in your content. If you’ve placed an article on a site with good traffic, why not get some direct clicks to your own site? Plus, those links also help with your site’s search rankings.

And remember, if your rivals have links from authority sites, you also have to get some of your own just to keep up.

5. Optimize Like a Pro

Treat your Parasite platforms like they’re your own. Optimize titles, descriptions, and tags with laser precision. The better you optimize, the more likely your contact climbs the search ranks.

The digital world is a fast-paced beast, and staying relevant is the name of the game. Keep your content fresh, engaging, and aligned with what your audience is searching for.

And, there you have it, an introduction to Parasite SEO.

For our clients, we have a process that we call the Authority Visibility System which we use to get content showing up fast in the search results. What I mean by fast is normal SEO might take 6 months or 12 months or even longer to get website content into the search results.

But our Authority Visibility System™ gets results in less than 1 month! And it also builds backlinks to our clients’ websites.

Take a look at upatdawn.biz/avs to learn more. On that page you can watch a case study video showing the results of using this system to place content on authority sites. Go ahead and check that out. You might be amazed at how effective this can be!

But before you go, please remember to hit the like button. And be sure to subscribe to my channel for more digital wisdom. And, of course, comment with your guess as to where I took this background photo!

Your business deserves to be seen online, and I will help you get there.

Thanks for watching and have a great day!
